We had a day and a half off and had two nights back home in our own beds. We gathered again on Friday morning and headed down to New Ulm. JenDeen had a very productive time off... getting her hair done!

Our legendary women
New Ulm was settled by German immigrants. Overlooking the town is the huge Hermann Monument - honoring Hermann of Cherusci, who liberated Germany from the Romans in 9 C.E. The 102-foot copper-sheathed monument is second in size only to the Statute of Liberty.
Hermann
Martin Luther College is a Wisconsin Synod Lutheran school - very conservative. In fact, they do not, even in the 21st century, allow women to vote in church elections. Sheessh... Thankfully, they did not prevent our women from singing.
Winter is certainly back - it has gotten so cold!
Michelle, Patty, Susan... BRRR!
